Welcome

Does the world appear to have gotten smaller lately? Tired of waiting in traffic? Looking at graffiti? Sitting in a cubicle with hundereds of others? Isn't it time you escape to a vacation in Palau?

Palau may not top your list of vacation destinations, but it should. For decades, Palau has been frequented by heads of state, celebrities and others with the resources to select a destination teaming with beauty and well known for unequalled privacy. The Kennedy's, the Morita's (founder of Sony), James Cameron (Titanic Director) and Paul Allen (Microsoft co-founder) just to name a few have been vacationing in one of the ten underwater wonders of the world. And, now you can too- a trip to Palau and a stay at the North Beach Cottages is more affordable than you might think.

Don't rush to try to find Palau on your map - you'll have a hard time. Envision the Hawaiian Islands, now work your way west until you hit the Philippines - Palau is the smallest set of islands directly before hitting the Philippines on your map. Life in the islands is peaceful; the timing couldn't be better for a trip to the South Pacific.

The Republic of Palau has the smallest birth rate on Earth and with a population of just 16,000 people - their land, water and environment has not been destroyed.

There are only four North Beach Cottages. Each cottage holds a maximum of four (4) occupants. That means there are never more than 20 people at the cottages at any point in time and rarely are there more than 10 people at a given time.

The cottages are made out of local mahogany wood. Each cottage is very private with lush vegetation surrounding each unit. North Beach Cottages is located right on a white sand beach - white sand beaches are only found in Ngaraard, the rest of the locations contain mangroves.

In addition, each cottage contains air-conditioning, private balcony and air-fans. A full service bar and restaurant are located on the premises as well as a gift shop and convenience store.

The beach has overhanging vegetation to protect against the bright sunlight and the location is blessed with a year-round northwestern breeze. A beautiful sunrise greets each visitor everyday and viewing of the sunset can be arranged - less than a ten-minute walk away.

The environment hosts eight endemic species of birds, monitor lizard, the rare sea cow, hawksbill and green turtles, crocodiles and an abundance of flora and fauna as well as one of the most diverse marine environments in the world.

North Beach Cottages is environmentally-friendly - the resort is made out of natural materials, the restaurant serves locally made dishes such as fresh rabbit fish, tuna, crab and lobster as well as the numerous fruits and vegetables indigenous to this area such as fresh pineapple, papaya, mango, coconut, bananas, cucumbers, corn and many others.

North Beach Cottages hires local Palauans and insists on only the finest Palauan handicrafts such as oil painting, woven purses and baskets and wood-carvings in the gift shop.

Romantic, intimate, comfortable and friendly, almost beyond belief, North Beach Cottages is a world entirely beyond time and obligations. For adventurous island wanderers looking for a private paradise, this is it.
